I Now Pronounce You Barbie and Ken

I have had the pleasure of coordinating many beautiful events throughout my career. Each event has its own special moments and its very own unique memories. This wedding, of course, had its own share of extraordinary moments.
On October 15th 2011, I watched as Barbie and Ken took their vows as husband and wife. Ok so maybe their names were not exactly Barbie and Ken, but they definitely reminded me of the iconic figures. Kris and Alida Demirjian are an amazing couple…on their wedding day they were extraordinary. I loved working with them and I loved watching their special day even more.
Not only was I working with a great couple, but I was also part of an incredibly efficient and professional team. A great big thank you to Renaissance Banquet Hall, Renaissance Flowers, Hansen Cakes, and DJ International for all of their amazing work. A wedding is never complete without a great venue, beautiful flowers, a delicious cake, and of course music to party all night long.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to Duke Photography who effortlessly captured these special moments I am able to share with you all.  I have worked with Duke Photography multiple times, however, he never ceases to impress me with his vivid photographs. Each and every time I see his work I cannot help but be awed. Combining his work with an incredible venue at Renaissance Banquet Hall, I knew that the end product would be nothing less than perfection.

Kris and Alida thank you so much for allowing me to partake in your celebrations. I enjoyed evey minute of it! I wish you both nothing but the VERY best in life. I hope your love for one another will continue to grow as the you journey thru life hand in hand. Congratulations!

Marvin and Ellin's Wedding @ Vibiana

I am so excited to be sharing this new post with you all. I had the pleasure of planning Marvin and Ellin’s wedding at the beautiful Vibiana on September 10,2011. First of all, I have to start off by saying that Marvin and Ellin were an incredible couple to work with. They were fun, energetic and funny. This was a couple that you could tell were in love from a mile away. Although Marvin still has a tough time remembering my name (in his eyes I am still “Angie” and not “Annie” lol) they trusted my judgment and my work without a question or doubt. This was especially comforting as its always important to gain a client’s trust. I felt so comfortable and excited to begin preparations for their magical day. I hoped that I would be able to bring my vision to life and create the dream wedding that they deserved.

This was my first time working with Vibiana as a venue and it was AMAZING! It was an honor working with Renatta. She was extremely professional, helpful and welcoming. Arthur, once again, from White Night Design did a great job at designing the venue. In conjunction with the floral arrangements by Magnolia Flowers, Vibiana looked like lavish and elegant! Khachik and Hamlet, from Caesar Banquet Catering, provided the delicious food for the evening. It was also my first time working with them and I was extremely impressed. Both Hamlet and Khachik provided the most amazing service! The beautiful cake you will see in the photos below was done by Cake by Ruben, who as always, created a cake that was not only looked great but also tasted heavenly. DJ Armond established the fantastic atmosphere throughout the night by providing the best music combinations. He was extremely in tune with the crowd and knew exactly what to do and when to do it to keep the party going. As always, Bon Cafetit added that extra something special with their delicious espresso bar.

Here are some of the amazing captured moments from the wedding. A BIG thank you to Duke Photography for allowing me to share these photographs with you…Duke did a magnificent job!

Special messages from the bride and groom to eachother.
Thank you Arka Weddings for the elegant presentation!

Marvin and Ellin, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together! May this only be the beginning of an incredible life journey together. I hope that neither one of you will change and that your love for one another only grows stronger and stronger. Congratulations!

David and Arsine's Wedding

One of my favorite quotations of all time is that “…happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.” I travel from event to event and experience such an incredible feeling of happiness. It satisfies me to know that I will travel an endless amount and, hopefully, not come to a final destination for a very long time. Every single time I attend a wedding, I experience the same feeling of endless joy. Although each wedding brings forth a different, slightly altered version of joy, it is nonetheless one of the most amazing feelings in the world. I am lucky because I have the pleasure of experiencing such a wonderful feeling more often than most individuals. As an event planner, I witness more weddings on average than any other event.
Saturday, October 8th 2011, David and Arsine celebrated their union with a lavish wedding at Palladio Banquet Hall. Planning this wedding was a little different because I was not so much as consulting the bride, but rather her mother, Anahit. Anahit was absolutely amazing! Calm, sophisticated, elegant, and classy…she made my job a piece of cake! Together, along with the bride and groom, we coordinated a fabulous wedding.
The arrangements all began with intricately designed invitations by Arka Weddings. Invitations are of importance because they not only provide guests with information, but they also set forth the expected style of the wedding. The reception was held at the beautiful Palladio Banquet Hall. Manoug and Jerry provided the best food and, most importantly, the best service. They were both on the floor at all times making sure everything was taken care of. Not only did they provide guests with amazing service, but they were a great help to me as well. Anytime I needed something, they were right by my side without me even having to look for them! The venue looked like a setting straight out of a fairytale. Absolutely stunning! CMC Rental Company provided the beautiful chair covers, the white dance floor, and the glass tables for the head table and dessert station. With the special touch of Heavenly Garden Flowers, who was responsible for all of the floral arrangements, guests stepped into a hall that was absolutely breathtaking. Rafis Pastry, yet again, provided a unique and elegant wedding cake, as well as delicious desserts. Bon Cafetit’s extraordinary espresso station added sophistication to the evening. As Vick from Jay Jay Photography, was capturing all of the special moments, Royal Gor Video was making sure not to miss a single moment throughout the entire evening. I was able to take a quick look at some of the stunning photos while Vick was working his magic, and I cannot wait to take a closer look once they are all ready.
As guests began to arrive, Beno welcomed them in to an elegant atmosphere while playing the violin during cocktail hour. As we began to get situated for the anticipated entrance of the newlyweds, I noticed how well organized the band and DJ were. Many people do not know how important of a role a DJ really has at an event. Avo, DJ Live, coordinated all of the entertainers beautifully. I loved working with Avo. There were a few entertainers throughout the night, and Avo made sure that everyone was on time and everything ran smoothly. Entertainment included exotic Russian dancers, and singers Harout Pamboukjian and Ara Martirosyan.
David and Arsine, thank you so much for allowing me to take part on your special day. Remember that this is only the beginning of many many wonderful memories in the future. I wish you both an amazing life together!

A Magical Proposal

I know it's been a while since my last blog post, but I have been waiting to share this proposal with you all! Modern Event and Arka Weddings had the pleasure of helping plan a proposal in Disneyland! When I got the call to help make all the arrangements I was so excited. How magical would a proposal be at Disneyland...the MOST magical and happiest place on Earth!

With the help of Arka Weddings, we coordinated with the groom-to-be Narek and managed to come up with an incredible way for him to propose to Annie. On June 18, 2011, Narek took Annie to Disneyland. Little did Annie know, it would be the day a new chapter of her life would begin. With the help of Beverly Hills Photography, we were able to capture the special moments on camera.

After the proposal, there was also a pre-engagement event at the bride's house. A common tradition among Armenians, this event allows for close family members and friends from both sides of the family to meet and begin the celebrations. It was a beautiful event...

Suren Nazaryan, Hermitage Banquet Hall, was the caterer.
Everything was so beautiful and delicious!

How romantic is this set-up. I LOVE it!

Annie and Narek, I wish you both the very best. You two have an incredible journey ahead.
I cannot wait for the wedding! Congratulations!
