A Magical Proposal

I know it's been a while since my last blog post, but I have been waiting to share this proposal with you all! Modern Event and Arka Weddings had the pleasure of helping plan a proposal in Disneyland! When I got the call to help make all the arrangements I was so excited. How magical would a proposal be at Disneyland...the MOST magical and happiest place on Earth!

With the help of Arka Weddings, we coordinated with the groom-to-be Narek and managed to come up with an incredible way for him to propose to Annie. On June 18, 2011, Narek took Annie to Disneyland. Little did Annie know, it would be the day a new chapter of her life would begin. With the help of Beverly Hills Photography, we were able to capture the special moments on camera.

After the proposal, there was also a pre-engagement event at the bride's house. A common tradition among Armenians, this event allows for close family members and friends from both sides of the family to meet and begin the celebrations. It was a beautiful event...

Suren Nazaryan, Hermitage Banquet Hall, was the caterer.
Everything was so beautiful and delicious!

How romantic is this set-up. I LOVE it!

Annie and Narek, I wish you both the very best. You two have an incredible journey ahead.
I cannot wait for the wedding! Congratulations!

Linda and Sarkis' Wedding

This post is long overdue. After helping plan the happy couple's magical night, I couldn't wait to see the amazing photos so that I could share them with you all. I met Linda a few weeks before her big day! She had a few last minute cancellations and issues and she wanted me to help her resolve them ASAP. One of the most important aspects of my job is to make sure that the bride and groom are as calm and relaxed as possible for their big day. No bride or groom wants to go through a headache a week prior to their wedding day. When Linda contacted me, I wanted to make sure that she had her dream wedding without having to go through and deal with problems a week prior.

The wedding date was July 16, 2011. The same day as my destination wedding. Thankfully, we were able to come together and select an incredible venue, Anoush on Glenoaks, and I brought in one of my staff to be present throughout the whole day to make sure everything went smoothly. I was so glad to hear from Linda telling me how happy she was with everything. It truly makes my day when I hear how satisfied a client is with the help of my services.

I have enclosed a few pictures of their beautiful wedding courtesy of Duke Photography. Linda and Sarkis, may you live happily ever after! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your joyous day! Congratulations!

Linet and Aris' AMAZING Wedding!

Linet and Aris' wedding was one of the most lavish events that I had the pleasure of coordinating. First of all, Linet and Aris are AMAZING individuals. I have never met such a calm and relaxed bride! It truly was a pleasure to work with her. As you look at the pictures you will probably recognize the groom. Aris is an incredible artist...one of the top Armenian singers of today's generation. He has not only done his own concerts and events, but also serenaded multiple brides and grooms on their special day as well. I have been to a few events and witnessed his talent first hand. You can visit www.arismusic1.com to see and hear his work.

The entire process of planning their wedding was extremely easy. By easy I mean that everything flowed very well, there were little to no complications...it was an event coordinators dream! As I walked into the Hilton Universal Hotel, where the reception was taking place, I remember thinking to myself how easy it was to plan their wedding. Perhaps I thought too early. As we walked in the hotel let us know that the reception hall had just finished a conference and needed to be cleaned and set up. I walked into the hall, took a minute to look, and called in my team. To say that it was a disaster would be an understatement. We had exactly two hours to prepare the hall for a wedding. As I was cleaning, I got several calls from the various vendors letting me know that they were running late. I still cannot recall how fast we worked, but the doors opened at 7:30 p.m. and guests were greeted into the reception hall.

Although we had a few complications in the end, the wedding was still a complete success.  When you have a talented artist as the groom and a fun-loving girl as the beautiful bride, you get one fabulous wedding!

Kate and Raffi's Destination Wedding at Lake Tahoe

One of the greatest aspects of working as an event planner is that I have the pleasure of working with a variety of people and trying to creatively design and coordinate an event that will satisfy their specific taste. When I have the opportunity to work with an incredible couple who wants a destination wedding…well let’s just say that is my specialty. Traveling is my ultimate hobby! Nothing compares to traveling to different locations all across the globe and enjoying what each destination has to offer. You can imagine my excitement when I finally arrived at the destination for Kate and Raffi’s wedding. What an amazing couple and what a beautiful wedding! Location: Lake Tahoe. The wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort. I’ll let the pictures speak for the rest, although they truly do not capture how beautiful the wedding and experience were…
